Babies - Photo Portfolio

Please choose a time where your baby is happy. Mornings are usually the best time of day for babies. We advise that babies be fed just before their shoot. We totally understand that young babies need to be fed often, so we like to allow at least one hour of shooting time. The more time you allow, the more time you have for your baby to relax. You can stop & feed your baby at anytime during the shoot. If you are breastfeeding, you can get a photo of that (if you like we can do a skin on skin shot or a modest one) we can also provide a private area for you to feed if that makes you feel more comfortable. We recommend that your baby be dressed in simple but classical clothing, wearing light colours. Dark colures tend to look too harsh. You are welcome to change your baby's clothes & we welcome any special toys or rugs. We have a baby change mat & you can change your babies outfit if you wish to. Bare skin is also lovely for photos. As a parent you can be in as many photos as you like. If you don't wish to have a photo taken, be aware some of your body maybe used in some photos. Make sure you wear plain clothes. At times we do photos of hands & feet so keep this in mind, a French manicure looks great.

Siblings are welcome to be in photos. Please bear in mind that they may get very bored waiting for their photo to be taken & they will need supervision. A studio is not ideal for young children. You may wish to have your photos taken in the home environment where your children are most comfortable.

If your baby is unwell please ring & reschedule another time. If you want newborn photos, we recommend these to be done in the first 3 weeks. At about 6 weeks babies tend to get red or pimply skin, so keep that in mind before booking.

I offer 3 choices when it comes to ordering photos from your sitting.

You may purchase a “Proof CD” or have your proofs made available as “Online Proofs” (with a password so that the whole world does not have access to it) for $50, or make a “Viewing Appointment” which is free. When you attend a Viewing Appointment, you will be shown how your photos will look cropped at different sizes, as well as seeing what your photos can look like in Black & White or Sepia. It is hard to visualize Black & White or Sepia, so the Viewing has proven quite helpful to most people, especially when it comes to choosing your photos.

I also offer great discounts for bundle packages as well as Wall Enlargements within a certain time limit according to the circumstances at hand.
